After being away for so long, I haven't written a new journal entry since last summer! Wow. Well, then.
I was recently thinking about how I could better develop my original characters for FBW, so I decided to look to numerology for help, turns out I got WAY more than I bargained for.
When I did some research with numerology on my protagonist character, Jenny Jeans, I realized that her full name suited her personality, destiny, and character arc far more than I previously had known, all I did was calculate the numbers in her name and her birth date and I got more than I expected. You see, I was trying to find out if I was making Jenny a good character or not because I want her to properly grow as a person throughout the series, and I thought I was doing a poor job and was being lazy, but I was proven otherwise and am now relieved that my efforts have actually pulled through.
According to Numerologist.com, in order to find out how her name affects her personality, I had to convert her full name and switch the letters into numbers and add them up until they reduce into one number to reveal her Expression Number
For example, her full name (I might delete this entry in the future in order to not spoil an important plot device
Reajeanette Pyriel Val Jeans
And when converted it turned into: 9-5-1-1-5-1-5-2-2-5/7-7-9-9-3/4-1-3-1-5-1-5-1
So when I added up the numbers together I got a total of 97
, but we're supposed to only have a single
digit, so we will cut this in half and add them together, so 9+7=16
. According to Numerologist, that means Jenny's expression number is a 7, which is a number of knowledge. I would explain the rest, but in short, through numerology I discovered not only a tool to help improve my series, but to also learn more about my characters' entire being.
